After enjoying Away We Go at Fact we went into Art Square and found this interactive light show. Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice - you'll have to go and see for it yourselves, think it's there for a couple more weeks.

I found this smouldering away in the entrance to our building at lunchtime. Hmmm!

A monday treat...the crossword. Still on a dog theme though!!!

What a day!! Thought it was going to be a disaster (going for the melodrama there!) and then it all came good! Lovely lunch in Alvaney/ Alvanley and then a fabulous experience going up, up and away in my beautiful balloon. Obviously I didn't actually take this photo myself, but I thought it was a great one by Alice.

Esther (and her laptop) joined us to watch the dancing. Alice, as ever, was interacting enthusiastically with the telly.

I joined this elite bunch on a guided cycle ride around LJMU buildings. Note all those students....NOT!!

I went to DeliFonseca for a sandwich and left with this lovely wine, first sampled at the Food and Drink Festival in Sefton Park.

The last day of the Davis Cup at the Echo Arena. GB needed to win both singles matches to stay in Group 1. Murray delivered but sadly young Dan Evans wasn't really up to it. Great day out thought, oh...and we got on the telly!! :-)

Dropped in briefly at hockey trials but didn't play because we were heading over to Sheffield to see Sarah. Luckily for us she was up to a visit home and we had a lovely afternoon together. Harriet is a proper cutie!

Thanks Crunchie it's Friday!! And over to EB's for pizza, wine, icecream and the first episode of Strictly. Alice and Vikki demonstrated their trendy plaiting skills.

Can you believe that I spent this afternoon ten-pin bowling at New Brighton?! Good job I've not got anything important/ urgent to do eh? And then straight on over to the Odeon to see Julia and Julie.

I spent a bit of time playing with my camera toy this evening. SLB was a very patient model.

Now....remember months ago I said that we were moving to a new building? Well this is a mock up of our new offices - note the taped lines on the floor showing the size and shape. No furniture is allowed to be taken from our old offices to the new ones and this is exactly the furniture we can have. So....question: How am I going to get 3 bookcases, 2 filing cabinets and a big cupboard of stuff into my new office?

It was a beautiful day for the Food and Drink Festival Launch in Sefton Park. Me and Becca played The Lying Down Game.

I wondered why Alice didn't come to meet me off the train. When I got the car I discovered the answer - Becca had give her a very special hair-do!

Wednesday

Making their debut on my blog are Fiona and Anne-Marie, my colleagues and companions at the conference. This isn't a flattering photo of either of them but as it's the only photo I took it's got to go up. Let's hope they don't decide to see what this blog business is all about!

Packed up, off again tomorrow but on my own this time: Two nights away in Nottingham.

When I arrived home from work there was a purple bike and a pink scooter thrown down at the front door. These are the owners.

After Lucy and Matthew's visit it was time for us to go visiting ourselves. First to a school friend I hadn't seen for more than 20 years who, it transpires, lives just round the corner. And then it was off to Esther Baker's for some scrummy chocolate cake.

First game of hockey for some time today and there were two Zacks on the side line. Well actually one is called Pasta and he's much younger and more lively than Zack. He was on trial to see if he can behave at the side of the pitch. I'm not convinced he passed!

Home sweet home! Back on the sofa.
