This is the problem with the sensor of my DSLR :-( I tried to clean it today but it didn't work...next step requires a purchase from Jessops. I'll update you on my progress.

As I headed to my office today I noticed from the window that our new building is now looking something like the architect's impression. It is the darkest building in the photo - to the left of the very big building. I can see why our move was put back to December though, they're still obviously working on the outside. Originally we were due to move in in July.

I just love my photo today. I got the bus to work today because the train was late and decided to cut through Lewis. I'm so glad I did otherwise I would have missed this treat :-)

How very sociable we are! Well it is possible to chat and farm you know! :-)

It was a depressing day of marking at home for me today (why can't students interpret statistics?). It was so cold I had to light the fire and then I noticed the poor confused Christmas Cactus. You would have been forgiven for thinking it was winter in our dining room today. 

Shoes which were worn on Saturday night before being swapped for sensible pumps to walk home - lifted out of the car by Alice and thrown on the stairs this morning. 

The Lord Mayor meeting us at his afternoon tea for IDAHO. 

Casino Royale night at the club tonight. Very much fun!

To quote Emily (age 5) "You don't see that much these days do you?" Well actually...yes you do round here because they live down the road. Mind you it's not often that I see them pass the house. 

This is Merseyside Police's rainbow flag which is flying at Police HQ (and every police station in Liverpool) until Sunday for IDAHO - International Day Against Homophobia (17th May). Well done Tracy O'Hara!!

I was just rearranging my farmhouse trees when I saw this! Nadine (who had left ages ago) hiding in the trees next to me...well it amused me anyway, made me jump too!

Spotted this rather trendy clock for the first time at lunchtime. I was going to say I clocked this clock....but that would have been corny wouldn't it!

On the way home we called in on Lucy Earl's parents. Alice had a photo opportunity on Richard's tractor and then Joan took us to buy asparagus. Then we had afternoon tea - see Alice's blog!

A night out at the theatre tonight to see a very unusual play called The Moon The Moon - I think I enjoyed it. Thanks Lindsey.

Tonight was the first meeting of the new(ish) hockey committee - doesn't everyone look enthralled?!

Whilst in Whitby the game of Yatzee was introduced and became very popular.

Another sunny though cooler day in Whitby. George went down the cliff to take a closer look at the rabbits. 

Missed posting yesterday because I was too busy chatting! Earlier today (oh I believe I mean yesterday) when we were walking back from town Harriet fell over the cliff ;-)
