This is the first photo I have blogged from my 'proper' camera. It was derby day at Mossley - 1s vs 2s and 3s vs 4s, consecutive fixtures on the same pitch. A great opportunity to get a photo of the whole Ladies section (nearly) especially as this is our 25th Season.

Oops! Missed the turn of the day (get me staying up late!). That's because I've been home alone with the toys. Curious Village has kept me from doing my blog.

Oh dear! This is the study where Emily will be sleeping next weekend - just a bit of clearing out to do before then.

Wednesday, 25 February 2009

This is my current listening pleasure - extremely funky grooves! Sorry the photos poor and the wrong way round (might try to sort it out tomorrow too late now).

Tuesday, 24 February 2009

Sara popped in briefly  to prove she (and her duck) are home safely from NZ. Look at that tan!

Monday, 23 February 2009

Is this not the fanciest lime and soda you've ever seen?! There I was feeling all special when Martin said "I'm trying to get rid of me umbrellas" - how special did I feel then?
I was at the Club for a meeting about a big It's a Knockout fundraiser.

Sunday, 22 February 2009

On Saturday we went to Sheffield for Sarah's birthday, celebrated with a lovely curry on Abbeydale Road...see us all tucking in!

The following morning we had a walk down to White Stuff on Eccleshall Road where Mandi entered a pancake tossing competition.

Friday, 20 February 2009

We went to Manchester today, did some shopping in the fancy department stores and ate in China Town. We didn't go on the Big Wheel but it made a pretty photo of the day.

Thursday, 19 February 2009

We had some surprise visitors early this evening. After much giddiness a story was required to try to instill a little calm. Mind you, Little Rabbit Foo Foo isn't the most relaxing of stories is it!

Wednesday, 18 February 2009

This photo records a rare occurrence...Louise at the hockey club. She was a very useful member of our quiz team and will definitely be invited back. Well, that is if we ever decide to stay up that late on a Wednesday night again!

Tuesday, 17 February 2009

This has been my view of Alice this evening!

Monday, 16 February 2009

We went to Esther Baker's for tea and to take a final look at the gloriousness of the Pictionary chimney breast (created on Esther's birthday) before it is painted over on Monday.

Sunday, 15 February 2009

Went to The Tate today and on the way took this shot of the new museum and the beautiful Liver Building.  Later it was fizz at Char and Jo's to celebrate their engagement.

Valentine's Day

I had a lovely card and a present for Valentine's day but decided that the most remarkable thing about today is that the poinsettia we bought before Xmas is still alive!

Friday, 13 February 2009

A few days after my first photo and there it is gone!

Thursday, 12 February 2009

Townie loves the new shirts! Yes, the new kit was taken to Sara Layt's house to be sorted and temporarily stored awaiting distribution (and sale). Cal - we've got yours and Nadine's.

Committee meeting tonight.

Tuesday, 10 February 2009

No hockey training for me tonight...what a sorry sight I am with my big zit, bunged up nose, heavy eyes...yes I am feeling rather sorry for myself (as this picture shows). Beechams is my drug of choice!

Monday, 9 February 2009

This was the view from our building as I was leaving this evening at about 5.45.  Roll on the light nights...

Sunday, 8 February 2009

Birthday lunch for Jen and Pin at the Helsby Arms. Frankie stole the show from the birthday girls though.

Saturday, 7 February 2009

I know this is a bit cheeky and I'm trying to have it both ways but...when I came in at 2.30 this morning and put the TV on I found this HD testcard that I've never seen before (not usually watching TV at that time of night!).  I loved it because it took me back to the days when this girl  was on the TV loads. It was a bit like seeing an old friend.

It's still Friday for me because I haven't yet been to bed! I went to see Mr Scruff with Lucy, Esther, Lindsey and Beth. Excellent music as ever, and of course I had some tea from the Tea Shop. Need to get to bed now! Night night.

Friday, 6 February 2009

going out at bedtime

I have gone to Mr Scruff so will put up a pic that I have taken during the gig tomorrow.

Thursday, 5 February 2009

It was a day for some hearty food and good wine. Snowed gently most of the day but didn't stick. Cold though!

Wednesday, 4 February 2009

A few minutes into the football I was wondering where Alice was. I found her in the kitchen knocking up "something nice" for pudding. Mmmmmm, no complaints here!

Tuesday, 3 February 2009

The Tower on Lime Street is finally coming down. I can't wait to see how they're going to smarten up the front of the station. The grotty shops have already gone. This has been one of my soap box issues for years.

Monday, 2 February 2009

There's a common theme on the blogs today (except Cal of course). The first photo was taken when Alice was leaving for work this morning. The second I took on my way home this evening, whilst it was snowing. We have a much deeper covering now!

Sunday, 1 February 2009

This records the first ever playing of Tilleywillisopoly! Absolutely brilliant and we all had a lot of fun playing...for 3 hours!! and guess who won...
